Part of the team of 5 who launched the $180 million EBTek product line of sporting and performance apparel, we were responsible for coordinating branding and excecution with the sourcing, allocation, visual merchandise, advertising, and international divisions.

I oversaw the daily operations, product replenishment, and staff recruitment and training first in Portland, OR and later in Denver, CO.  I also started a marketing program targeting the the lucrative Japanese tourist shopper in the Portland market generating an over 6% increase in sales revenue.


    

May Department Stores

Buyer

Starting out in the Denver, CO division, May D&F, as an executive trainee, I was rapidly promoted to assistant buyer of the large, and profitable handbags and leather goods office in the accessories division.

When May D&F was consolidated into the Foley's division, May transferred me to Portland, OR division Meier & Frank where I first served as an assistant buyer in the sku-intensive jewelry and watch office and was later moved into an temporary buyer role in Junior shoes--one of the youngest buyers in the corporation.
