Who am I? And what motivates me?
Born in Northern Colorado to a family who for generations were farmers and cattlemen, at a young age I sought out the pace and diversity of the urban realm. I studied the humanities and the social sciences as an undergraduate and have lived in both North America and Europe. Having spent much of my adult life working in the rank and file of a number of large American corporations, I have developed an interest in the form and function of the corporation as an embedded structure in our society.
Globalization, and the mergers, acquisitions, and consolidations of the late 20th and early 21st century have had far reaching impacts on the lives of American workers and the cities in which they reside. I am studying the impacts of consolidation of economic power and function into larger and larger organizations and investigating the causes of this trend with the intention of aiding in the development of more stability for the American worker and a more communal agenda for economic activity in the 21st century.
